Privacy notice
This notice explains how MuckOff Property Services handles information from customers, website visitors and contractor applicants.
Last updated: 10 September 2026
Who controls your information
MuckOff Property Services is responsible for the personal information described in this notice.
Information we collect
For customers, this can include your name, phone number, email address, postcode, service request, property or access details, photographs, messages, appointment details and transaction records.
For contractor applicants, this can include contact and location details, services, availability, experience, equipment, vehicle access, insurance information, rates, work-evidence links, screening notes and job-performance records.
We also store essential owner-login security data. If you accept optional analytics cookies, Google Analytics may collect device, visit and interaction information.
Why we use it
We use customer information to prepare quotes, arrange and deliver services, communicate about bookings, handle payments or issues, keep business records and improve our service.
We use contractor information to assess applications, carry out checks, match suitable people to work, manage assignments, confirm standards and keep safety and payment records. Match scores support the owner’s judgement; they do not automatically decide who receives work.
Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request or performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business, and consent for optional analytics.
Who receives information
We share information only where needed with selected self-employed contractors assigned to a job, and with service providers supporting hosting, email, messaging, analytics, accounting or insurance. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Assigned contractors receive only the customer and job details needed to complete their work. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
- Unbooked quote enquiries: normally up to 12 months.
- Customer, job, payment and accounting records: normally up to six years where required for legal, tax or dispute purposes.
- Unsuccessful contractor applications: normally up to 12 months.
- Approved contractor and assignment records: for the relationship and normally up to six years afterwards where needed.
- Optional analytics information: up to 14 months, subject to the configured Google Analytics retention controls.
Cookies and analytics
The owner dashboard uses an essential secure session cookie. The public website loads Google Analytics only after you select “Accept analytics”. You can reject optional analytics without affecting quotes or applications, and reopen Cookie settings from the website footer.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to its use, receive portable information, or withdraw consent. Contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Visit ico.org.uk for current guidance.
Security and international services
We use access controls, secure connections and restricted owner tools to protect information. Some technology providers may process information outside the UK; where this happens, we rely on recognised adequacy arrangements or contractual safeguards provided by those suppliers.
We may update this notice when our services or suppliers change. The latest version will always appear on this page.
